Aug. 19 — We Outside, a London-based live entertainment company, raised AED 11.7 million ($3M) from Dubai Royal Family Office in a single-investor placement arranged by Artane Partners, which acted as exclusive placement agent and financial advisor. The company has already staged an event in Malta and will hold its first Gulf event in Dubai this winter, with the family office providing introductions across the GCC entertainment market. Artane Partners has also taken on a buy-side mandate to help We Outside evaluate acquisitions of entertainment platforms, promoters and event brands. (Dealroom.co)
Aug. 13 — Centricity, a technology-led wealth management platform, raised ₹280 crore ($33M) in a Series A led by SMBC Asia Rising Fund. Existing backers Burman Family Office, RAAY Investments and the Kuldeep Rathi family office returned, alongside Lightspeed India Partners, Stride Ventures and InnoVen Capital. The Mumbai-based firm, which itself serves more than 250 family offices, will use the funding to build out its wealth-distribution platform and NRI private-client business. (YourStory)
Aug. 11 — Epicrispr Biotechnologies closed a $90 million Series C to advance its pipeline of epigenetic medicines, led by an early-phase treatment for facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy, a rare muscle degeneration disease. Duquesne Family Office, the single-family office of investor Stanley Druckenmiller, joined Octagon Capital, Janus Henderson Investors, Fidelity Management & Research Company, Cormorant Asset Management, Sanofi Ventures, funds managed by abrdn, Angelini Ventures, Readout Capital and existing investors in the round.
