Global wealth rose in 2024, according to the UBS Global Wealth Report 2025 — but with significant regional variations.
Over half the personal wealth in the study was in either the United States or mainland China. Eastern Europe was the fastest-growing region. The report projects personal wealth will continue to grow over the next five years, driven by the U.S.: The world is expected to add over 5 million millionaires in that time.
The report offers a detailed look at the generational distribution of wealth in the U.S., as well as a look at the transfer of wealth that is expected to take place in different global markets over the next 20 to 25 years.
