Women are still a minority of family office professionals

How many women are leading – or even working in – family offices?

According to the 2023 Global Family Office Compensation Benchmark Report from KPMG Private Enterprise and Agreus, 21% of all family office professionals are women. For comparison, just over 10% of Fortune 500 companies are led by women, and women make up just under 30% of the U.S. House of Representatives.

The KPMG/Agreus report found that the U.K. has the highest percentage of women serving as family office CEOs: 37%. According to the survey respondents, Asia’s family office CEOs are 100% male, as are 80% of family office CEOs in the United States and 77% in Europe.
